Since 2001, Joi has participated in various shows and art events. Her work has been displayed in The Joslyn Art Museum, Millwork Commons, Benson Film Festival and The Cadillac Theater.She has received art awards from General Motors Company and Amplify Arts and appeared in various publications such as Ellements magazine and Omaha Magazine. She earned her BFA in Fashion Design at the International Academy of Design and Technology Chicago.

Joi creates experimental films and music videos. By documenting everyday routes, subjects and travels, Joi creates collages in motion. She captures the special effects found in everyday life and layers video footage to create dreamscapes.

My Design Background
How you dress yourself is no different from how you "dress" your home.I have a background in fashion design and I was raised to a DIYer (Do-It-Yourself)And as a kid, I learned to help out around the
house with small repairs and odd jobs like how to hang a picture properly.As an artist and fashion designer,
I understand color palettes, textiles, shades, hues, mixing and matching.Combining my handywoman skills and my eye for design,
this gave me permission to create my own world in my home.Like designing a collection, fashion tells the world who you are and the same concept applies to your home.
