Joi started out as a painter. She loves exploring all mediums but prefers painting, drawing and video art.Her musings are pop art, fashion, nature and music.
Since 2001, Joi has participated in various shows and art events. Her work has been displayed in The Joslyn Art Museum, Millwork Commons, Benson Film Festival and The Cadillac Theater.She has received art awards from General Motors Company and Amplify Arts and appeared in various publications such as Ellements magazine and Omaha Magazine. She earned her BFA in Fashion Design at the International Academy of Design and Technology Chicago.
When she is not painting,
Joi creates experimental films and music videos. By documenting everyday routes, subjects and travels, Joi creates collages in motion. She captures the special effects found in everyday life and layers video footage to create dreamscapes.
